Rock Climbing

After several years, I went rock climbing again. I left my house early on Sunday morning and headed to JR Dojo Station in Takarazuka City. After a short walk from the station, I arrived at Fudo Rock. I went there with the master of the mountain club, intending to take lessons on rope work and such.

However, the master started climbing smoothly and suddenly, and from above, he called out, "Come on, climb up."

There was no instruction or anything, and I was only pointed out that the way I put on the harness was wrong. I was taken aback and thought, "Eh? Really?" But the only option was to climb, so I tried to recall the past and grabbed the rock.

People from a different party seemed to want to climb this route, and they looked up at me with an expression that said, "I wish she would hurry up. Is she okay?"

With all that in mind, I felt more rushed than usual. I somehow managed to climb to the top, but to be honest, I felt more exhausted from the tension than enjoyment. According to the master, it's good to start by just climbing.

I convinced myself that today's climb was good enough and safely descended the mountain. I went out to Umeda and chugged down a beer. I felt a bit accomplished (^_^).
